The mayor of Chillón, Jerónimo Mansilla; the mayor of Almadén, María del Carmen Montes; and the Councilor for Works and Urban Planning, Jose Carlos Losilla, have visited the Almadén – Chillón WWTP, recently put into operation, after the completion of various improvement actions that put the plant at full capacity. A step forward for both municipalities.
The main improvements have consisted of the renewal and activation of the pumps of all the WWTP processes, roughing grate, solids conveyor screw, rotating sieves, the installation of a new cover on the sand classifier, the repair of the sand trap bridge -degreaser; as well as the Industry Email List installation of a new sand pump and the repair of the submerged aerator. Regarding the biological reactors, repair, adjustment and lubrication work on the aerators has been carried out. In addition, other cleaning, repair, replacement and installation of systems that were damaged. In conclusion, a comprehensive update of the plant that has achieved the fine-tuning of all its elements for its correct operation.
Furthermore, after the concession to Aqualia, the plants will operate using 100% energy, from renewable sources, free of CO2 and without waste.Guaranteeing correct water management not only represents a good service and improvement in the quality of life for citizens, but also contributes to the generation of wealth and has a positive impact on society as a whole. As promoted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this sense, Aqualia's work in the Almadén and Almadén/Chillón treatment plants contributes directly to the achievement of SDG 6 “Clean water and sanitation”, SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities” and SDG 17 “Partnerships to achieve the goals".
The Provincial Association of Construction Employers (APEC) and the Bravo y Cía brokerage renewed their commitment to insure companies and workers in the sector in the mandatory insurance established by the agreement. More than twenty years ago, both organizations joined their paths, ensuring that construction companies, in addition to being able to insure their workers under very beneficial conditions, obtain specialized advice in a sector such as construction, which is heavily involved in insurance matters.
This agreement also entails the sponsorship of actions and specialized training for the two hundred companies that are part of APEC in the province. Present at the event were the president of APEC, Manuel Carmona; and Ramón Romero and Gloria Bravo, representing Bravo y Cía.
This past Friday the carnival festivities officially began in Pozuelo de Calatrava with the "Carnival Pregón 2022" that was held in the Carnival Tent located in the Multipurpose Hall. A proclamation that was given by Eusebio Angulo from Pozuela and was attended by the mayor of Pozuelo de Calatrava, Julián Triguero, and the celebrations councilor, Jesús Cortés.
A proclamation sprinkled with notes of humor and nostalgia from an Eusebio dressed as Groucho Marx, who gave a brief review of the Pozuelo carnival, its people, its peñas and troupes and which culminated with a Viva el Carnaval and a Viva Pozuelo! Likewise, and for this special occasion, Eusebio Angulo performed a pasodoble, whose title could not be other than "Viva el carnaval", composed by himself, and which drew applause from the entire audience present.
At this event, the award was presented to the poster selected as the image of the de Calatrava carnival, winner of the XXV Edition of the Carnival Announcement Poster Contest”, and which this year went to the work presented under the motto “ The only mask” by the author Patricia García-, who collected the award from Julián Triguero. La Chirigota “Shake before using” by Puertollano put the culmination to this start of the Carnival with its good humor and its carefree lyrics. A group that maintains the tradition and culture of Carnival wherever they perform.And to conclude this first day, the Carnival Tent concluded with a "Flamenco Party" by the group “Despacito y al .
